Pet Policy

Gearhart Ocean Inn is pet friendly & welcomes your “well-mannered and supervised” pet in selected rooms. When we know your pet will be traveling with you, a food dish, treat, pet coverlet and beach towel will be waiting for his or her arrival!

Guests are responsible for their pet's behavior & must keep pets under control throughout their stay. Gearhart Ocean Inn is a family oriented property. In order to respect all guests, pets are accepted subject to agreement to the following conditions in writing, at check in:


• Fee: $15 per pet, per night. Maximum 2 pets per unit.

• Pet must be on a leash while outdoors on our property; however, the city of Gearhart does not have a leash law.

• Walk pet off the premises and please be respectful of our neighbors. Pick up after your pet. We provide plastic bags. Please tie it off and deposit it in designated garbage cans outside.

• If your pet has an accident on the premises, promptly clean it up.

• Pets cannot be left unattended in the room or in your vehicle in the parking lot. Please keep your pet with you.

• Pets are not allowed on our custom furniture or designer linens, to disturb other guests, or to enter the office. If your pet is used to being on the furniture and you cannot dissuade it otherwise, we will provide pet blankets to cover our furniture and beds.

• Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their pet.
