Best bars and breweries near Cannon Beach
Whether you’re looking to sample good beers and relax with some friends after a long day or searching for a spot to grab a beer while on vacation, here are a few options for beers and cocktails in Cannon Beach and Manzanita:
San Dune Pub (Manzanita) — An easy two-minute walk from the beach in Manzanita, San Dune Pub is the perfect spot to hang out, enjoy a drink (there’s a full bar) or a beer, and have some good food while watching a ballgame on the TVs. In the winter, grab a table next to the fireplace. If the weather’s nice, be sure to check out the back patio.
Pelican Brewery (Midtown Cannon Beach) — Sample a wide selection of Pelican’s excellent craft beers while relaxing inside their big, beautiful building in midtown Cannon Beach (right at Sunset and Hemlock). A popular spot for tourists and locals, in the summertime, you can bet there’ll be a wait and the patio will be hopping.
Bill’s Tavern (Downtown Cannon Beach) — Bill’s brews a number of craft beers, including a terrific Blackberry Beauty, in its heart-of-Cannon Beach location. Bar or table seating, full menu and a few tables outside on the front patio.
MacGregor’s Whiskey Bar (Manzanita) — Stylish bar featuring flights of whiskey and craft cocktails. On the main strip in Manzanita.
Public Coast Brewing Co. (Downtown Cannon Beach) — At the far north end of Cannon Beach sits Public Coast, a handsome brewery serving more than a dozen of its own beers, from Pale Ales and IPAs to Stouts and Brown Ales. Roomy outdoor patio and spacious bar.
Warren House Pub (South Cannon Beach/Tolovana Park) — Owned by the same folks who own Bill’s Tavern just down the road, Warren House is a charming pub featuring a fireplace and a nice outdoor deck.
Manzanita Lighthouse (Nehalem) — Popular with the locals, the ML is on Hwy 101 south of Manzanita. Because it’s not on a main strip in Cannon Beach or Manzanita, it’s not a spot that tourists typically visit. Cold beers, tasty burgers, big-screen TVs and pool tables make it a great place to relax after a day at the beach or an afternoon of fishing.
Driftwood (Downtown Cannon Beach) — A Cannon Beach icon, Driftwood is known for its steaks and seafood, but it also has a terrific old-school lounge with a full bar, along with a wonderful patio with fire-pit seating. Friendly service.
The Winery at Manzanita (Manzanita) — A lovely bar that’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, The Winery at Manzanita features flights of wine, along with cocktails and craft beers, along with a selection of sandwiches, salads and wraps.
Castaways (Downtown Cannon Beach) — Castaways has a reputation for one of the best restaurants in Cannon Beach, but it also has a cute little bar that serves up great craft cocktails.
