When you’re on the Oregon Coast, it’s important to make time for a nice breakfast — or brunch, if you want to sleep in for a bit. When you’re ready for that morning meal, here are a few suggestions in and around Cannon Beach and Manzanita:

  1. Wanda’s. Make the short drive south from Arch Cape/Cannon Beach/Manzanita to the cool little town of Nehalem for breakfast or brunch at Wanda’s. Sure, there will likely be a wait during the summer months, but it’s worth it. Be sure to get an order of biscuits & gravy to share.

  2. Osprey Cafe. Our fave spot in Seaside for breakfast or brunch, Osprey also has a sister cafe in Cannon Beach — Surfbird.

  3. Lazy Susan. Right in downtown Cannon Beach, Lazy Susan is a popular spot next door to the Coaster Theater. Bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards.

  4. Wayfarer. Open at 8 am seven days a week, Wayfarer offers a bunch of different benedicts, along with classic like waffles, french toast and omlettes.

  5. Yolk. Lovely breakfast spot on Manzanita’s main strip. Sit at the little bar area and watch the chefs prepare your brunch.

Other options to consider: Looking for a grab-and-go option? Fresh Foods Market in Tolovana (South Cannon Beach) has great breakfast sandwiches (along with a lot of other great stuff). And both Sea Level Bakery (Tolovana) and Sleepy Monk Coffee Roasters (Cannon Beach) have delicious baked goods that are a great way to start the day.
