You’re trying to eat clean, lots of kale salads and grilled veggies. We’re all fighting the good (food) fight. But every now and then, you gotta have a big ol’ burger. The next time you get that intense craving, here’s a list of the favorite burgers in Cannon Beach and Manzanita:

  • Cheri’s Cafe, downtown Cannon Beach. Cheri’s has a killer hand-pressed cheeseburger that isn’t appreciated like it should be. One of the best burgers in town.

  • San Dune Pub, west end of Laneda Avenue, Manzanita. It’s the high-grade Piedmontese beef that makes San Dune Pub’s BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger so amazing.

  • Driftwood Restaurant & Lounge, downtown Cannon Beach. Treat yourself to Ye Olde Driftwood Burger, made with a third-pound of Black Angus. The best part: It’s only $6 at Happy Hour.

  • Sweet Basil’s Cafe, downtown Cannon Beach. Hiding near the bottom of a lovely menu, Sweet Basil’s 8-ounce burger is topped with house-smoked pork belly, bacon jam, Tillamook cheddar and Sriracha mayo on a Brioche Bun. Add it to your list of Best Burgers.

  • Wayfarer, midtown Cannon Beach. Gaze at Haystack Rock while devouring Wayfarer’s exceptional half-pound chopped chuck burger with sliced white cheddar, and house-made tomato jam. Spoil yourself and get it with the honey cured bacon for a couple bucks more. You deserve it.

  • Manzanita Lighthouse, on Hwy 101 about a half-mile south of the turn-off to Manzanita. One reason this place is beloved by locals is the burger. Nothing fancy, just a mean pub-style burger and fries that’ll make you happy you found this gem.
